Greg Puciato's performance throughout is breathtaking - spoken-word ennui bleeding into howling blues-hardcore, double-tracked pop-crooning set against layered industrial polyrhythm. The closing title track, an electronic ballad accompanied by string quartet SEVEN)SUNS, draws on a melody Puciato wrote at nineteen - the whole album, somehow, coming full circle. Ben Weinman has said of their legacy: It's definitely cool to know that I left a mark, and that there are things out there that would never be out there if we didn't do what we did.
